Eat Well restaurant located in Dubai Herbal & Treatment center recently orchestrated a new Summer Menu and we were glad to be invited to take a look. They focus on gluten free and vegan food along with portion control bringing about a healthy interpretation of various dishes.
There are a lot of genetically modified produce in the market that does more harm than good. It is great if one can embrace a healthy lifestyle. Apart from being gluten free, the restaurant also caters to creating food for people with specific intolerance. You can be sure that the food here is going to be fresh, healthy and fit for your dietary requirement. They have egg free, lactose free, dairy free, paleo, vegetarian and vegan options.
The prospect of having a gluten free diet may seem daring and we weren’t sure what to expect. We thought it would be a daunting task coming up with good dishes but there were many things that got us excited. The restaurant’s menu has been designed by Chef Patrick. All that yummy food against the gorgeous back drop of Downtown Dubai made our evening quite wonderful.
Get Set Gobble
The event began with sipping on fresh juices. I tried their Detox which was a blend of cucumber, ginger, lemon and mint.
The servers rotated small bites like the Sticky Salmon with avocado yuzu and pak choi. The Chef was preparing three kinds of Thai rolls with rice paper filled with vegetables, chicken or prawn. It’s like the healthier version of a spring roll.
There was an entire vegan section with interesting options like the Beetroot gazpacho or the Quinoa crunch with a mix of edamame, almonds, arugula, avocado and more. My favourite was the Beetroot Ravioli with kale, pine seed crumb and orange. It was absolutely delicious!
There were a number of sweet treats on offer and I gave them all a try. On the new menu are some amazing desserts like Oops I dropped the Pavlova and Summer berry tart among many others. The Pavlova is vegan treat with coconut cream, strawberry compote and a meringue. It was absolutely lovely! The tart was no doubt a delightful gluten free treat as it was filled with fresh berries and chocolate. My favourite would have to be the Bounty bar that was simply crazy. Think guilt free indulgence!
