Good reason to get out of bed on a Weekend | Long relaxing Lebanese Brunch @Ayam Elezz, Jumeriah Road

We headed out early on a perfect weekend morning to try the newly launched Saturday Brunch at Ayam Elezz Restuarant. If you are looking for a quaint and beautiful place to dine, you have hit the jackpot! Complete with vintage decor and nostalgic references to the by-gone days, the interiors are quirky and colourful. The place is a perfect blend of chic yet fun from old suitcases to transistor radios, a funky chandelier to graphic print chairs, old cola bottles, lanterns, vintage wall paper and so much more.

The scrumptious meal was topped with gorgeous views of the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Now here’s a good reason to get out of bed on a lazy Saturday morning. So get up and get gobbling 🙂

Get Set Gobble:

We were lucky to sample their Brunch and they have come up with an amazing Lebanese inspired menu. The spread here boasts of taste and quality and, we couldn’t wait to try it for ourselves.

The cold starter section has a beautiful spread of Labne, Makdous, Green kishik, Feta cheese with vegetables, Kashkaswan cheese, Hummous Ayam Elezz, Cheese majdoli, Halloumi cheeseMixed olivesMixed pickles and Zaatar w zeit…phew! Quite a lot of things to help build your plate and satiate your appetite. All the beautiful colours at the counter are sure to attract you. Eat them by themselves for a super healthy bite or as an accompaniment.

The buffet comprises of Foul modamas and Balila that are served hot. Topped with a generous dash of olive oil, chopped tomatoes and pickle, the flavourful chickpeas and fava beans are a delight specially with a basket full of their freshly baked Pita bread. Plus, we just loved the large copper urns they were served out of!

You can see the care being given to each ingredient that speaks volumes about the passion being poured into the dishes being created. The Executive chef leaves no stone unturned as he heads out to the tables talking to the patrons and taking feedback that makes the restaurant stand out in terms of food quality. He even stands behind the counter cooking live Scrambled eggs as per your request at the station full of chopped tomatoes, onions and fresh herbs.

Vegetarians are definitely going to be overwhelmed with joy as the brunch is sure to keep them happy with numerous options for them to explore. They also have options for cheese or nutella Kaak and chocolate, zaatar and cheese Croissant.

The Sajj counter is a sight you cannot miss and probably my favourite part of the entire brunch. Imagine flat breads cooked on a large dome shaped hot plate stuffed with a filling of your choice from cheese, nutella, labneh or zaatar. We were eating these non stop and guarantee you will too! Need we say more?! Do try the nutella and mixed cheese stuffing that is sure to leave you asking for more.

The line up at the sweet counter included Knefe, Cream caramel, Muhalabeye, Imm ali, Raha biscuits, Dates, Golden raisins, Dry figs, Dry apricotHalawe and Jam along with Fresh fruits platter. We highly recommend the Caramel custard that had the perfect balance of sweetness and we went back for seconds and even thirds! 😛 If you are a Muhalabeye fan like us, then theirs is absolutely delightful.

We filled our plates with plenty of colours and textures and washed all this down with some freshly squeezed orange juice and lemonade. We dream about such long relaxing brunches and ended the meal sipping on some Moroccan tea and Turkish Coffee while smoking our Mint seesha. What else do we need on a Saturday morning right?!

Priced at AED 99 with unlimited juice, AED 119 with unlimited seesha and juice and AED 50 for children from 9am – 1pm.
