Pipeline Café, Satya Niketan

I simply love the quirky café feel in Satya Niketan. Another addition to the scene is Pipeline Café. Located up two flights of stairs (just near Pizza hut), you are welcomed into a quaint café with large windows. They have a unique pipe theme running interestingly through the place. The interiors are cosy and great to catch up with friends. It has a wooden themed interior and seating design.

As is expected from the cafes in this region, food here is a superb and the prices are super pocket friendly!

Get Set Gobble:

~ Shaking my babyBanana shake (with chocolate), Kit kat shake and Ferro Rocher shake were all thick and creamy and super chocolaty. I ordered the banana shake with an addition of chocolate however there was a slight syrupy taste to it and I preferred the kit-kat one over it. Plus the little piece of kit-kat on top of the bottle sort of swayed me more towards it anyway 😛

~ MocktailsVirgin Sangria, Green apple mojito, Mango cooler, Italian Smooch and Peach Ice Tea, each mocktail has a unique presentation. They are equally refreshing and perfect for the oncoming summers Delhi is going to experience. My favourite would have to be the green apple mojito which wasn’t too sweet and served with a slice of the apple.

~ Chicken thai spring roll – The rolls were super crisp and not at all oily. DO TRY

~ Stir fried Potato stuffed with cottage cheese – This was a very interesting preparation with crispy potatoes stuffed with paneer served on a bed of flavourful tomato gravy. DO TRYIMG_2139

~ Panko crumbed fish fingers – These were crispy and the fish inside was perfect and flaky. Served with tartar sauce. MUST ORDER

~ Vegetable and cheese pipes – These also have a very crispy and fine pastry. It was a good dish.

~ Rock and roll mushroom – Cheese stuffed mushrooms fried with a bread crumb coating, these were an interesting eat and should definitely be on the to-eat list of every mushroom lover.

~ TLC sandwich – As the name suggests, this is a tomato, lettuce and cheese sandwich. This was served in between lightly grilled white bread slices along with fries.

~ Chicken dimsums – I am a dimsum lover (as if I haven’t said this enough!). Their dimsums are super delish and as you bite into them, you can taste the freshness with the juice dripping from it. Loved the chilli paste served with it too – has a great spice kick. MUST ORDER

~ Baked Chicken nachos – I thoroughly enjoyed these loaded nachos with chicken pieces, veggies and lots of cheese. DO TRY

~ Drums of heaven – Excellent coating of sweet chilli sticky sauce on these chicken lollipops. The meat is very tender. DO TRY

~ Veg Schezuan sizzler – Sizzlers seems to be the strong point for the restaurant so it is no doubt we tried this at the recommendation of the waiter. It comes steaming and sizzling with the option of rice or chicken and I simply loved the slightly spicy sauce. MUST ORDER

~ Banoffee pie – The dessert is made with their in-house toffee preparation with a cracker-crumb base and a generous layer of whipped cream. DO TRY

~ Crispy fried brownie with vanilla ice cream – The pastry of these chocolate spring rolls is super crispy and fried to perfection. However the filling is a little dry and would love if they could add some gooey melted chocolate to the mix.

Go for:

Chill vibes. Young crowd. Super easy on the pocket. Amazing eats. Good service with a smile.

 Tips & Tricks:

They have amazing expansion plans for the future so stay tuned and watch out for more. They constantly have different week long festivals dedicated to Sizzlers, dimsums and lots more. The servers are very accommodating, so if you want any alteration to an existing dish, feel free to ask and they will make it according to your preference.
